Our Business

I tried my hand at my first pipe when I retired from the U.S. Army November 2006, to pass time. One Sunday afternoon I took a pipe that I had made to a pipe shop that I frequented called John Denglers, in Old Town St. Charles. The owners were so impressed they asked if I would like to sell my pipes out of their shop. From that point on, I was encouraged to make more pipes and that is  how my business was born.

Who We Are

My name is Charles Richard Hester Jr.  I retired from the Army after twenty years two months and fourteen days as a 11B Infantryman with the rank of Sergeant First Class E-7. I have smoked a pipes for eight years and I have read every book I could get my hands on about pipes. I returned home from Iraq in May 2006 and retired in November of 2006 with no idea as to what I was going to do next. I was restless with too much time on my hands, so my wife Stephanie purchased my first briar and suggested I make a pipe. I have destroyed many briar block, but through trial and error I now know I am at the point where I am proud of my work and wish to pass it on to you.
